How We Got Our Name - "D.I.M.E"

My son, David Martinez, and I started moving furniture on the side for extra money on the weekends. Eventually the moves started getting bigger and we would hire others to help us. One move in particular I noticed my young son took charge of the move and was giving directions to the others on how to carry out the job.

I was very proud of him that day and, when we got home, I named him my Supervisor. He was so excited to receive this designation and had such a sense of accomplishment from it!

On January 20th, 2015 we were returning home from a day at the beach. On that drive back we were hit by a speeding driver, who we found out was under the influence of bath salts. The man was fleeing from the police driving at a very high speeds and he ran a red light crashing into our van. My 14-year-old son was immediately killed on the scene.

As time went on, my wife and I went through the pain of losing our beloved son. During our grieving, I remembered that he was my Supervisor and I decided to honor him by starting D.I.M.E Movers! D.I.M.E is short for David Isaiah Martinez Enterprise.
